I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Kutztown University. I went on to receive my Master's degree in clinical and counseling psychology with a specialization in trauma studies from Chestnut Hill College.
I am a licensed professional counselor and have worked in the mental health field for the past 20 years. I have experience working with diverse populations comprising of all age groups in outpatient, community-based and school settings. I also have experience working with a variety of therapy modalities including individual, couples and group therapy. I have led psycho-educational groups for adults in acute psychological distress.
Currently, I work with adults on an individual basis and utilize a holistic approach to psychotherapy offering an empathic and safe environment for individuals to grow.
I am a member of the Lehigh Valley Psychological and Counseling Association.
Certified Yoga Teacher – 200 hour training in Vinyasa Yoga (linking the breath and movement) at the West End Yoga Center with Leah Naylor, E-RYT, co-founder of the West End Yoga Center.
Certified LifeForce Yoga Practitioner, Level One – 58 hour training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health with Amy Weintraub, MFA, E-RYT 500.
I have experience teaching yoga and chair yoga. I have led classes at the Open Heart Yoga and Wellness Center, the West End Yoga Center and Four Seasons at Farmington where I integrated the aspects of LifeForce Yoga for balancing moods into the practice.
